Sara is a cultural sociologist interested in how our conceptions of criminality and gender enforce inequality. She studies criminal legal processes and their representations in popular media.
In past projects, she researched criminal character letters, organizations that enable sexual violence, Title IX policies, and true crime podcasts. She was previously a researcher at the American Bar Foundation.
