Anthropology is the study of humans and human culture; as a result, we highly encourage you to make real-world connections between your studies and your community. We offer a variety of ways for students to get involved.

Field Schools

Our field schools are strongly recommended for anthropology students with a specific interest in archaeology. The field schools provide students with hands-on experience working in the field and with excavations.

Learning Laboratory Techniques

Our Learning Laboratory Techniques course enables students to get hands-on experience working in an anthropology lab. This experience prepares students for a number of potential future careers.

Independent Study

We encourage students to pursue their own interests and projects through independent study. Take your education into your own hands and design and carry out your own research with the guidance of a faculty member.
