The TandemPlus Language Exchange Program
Students enrolled in Arabic classes are encouraged to participate in a language partnership through TandemPlus, a language exchange program run by the Language Center. Students enrolled in TandemPlus meet weekly with a native speaker of Arabic to practice conversation in Arabic and English. The program is free and students can participate in as many language partnerships as they like. The TandemPlus program is a great opportunity to practice conversational Arabic, to learn about Arab culture, and to make new friends.
University Arabic Language & Culture Club
Students enrolled in Arabic classes can join the University Arabic Language & Culture Club (UALCC), a student-run organization dedicated to furthering understanding of the Arab world and connecting students through the Arabic language. The UALCC organizes regular events open to all U of M students. Learn more about UALCC.
