As a result of the financial pressures created by the pandemic, we will not be accepting applications fall 2020 for enrollment in the MA or PhD program next year (2021-22). English and creative writing faculty at Minnesota are regularly recognized for the excellence of their teaching, scholarship, and writing. Our graduate students gain a thorough training in teaching as well as in research and writing. PhD students receive guaranteed full financial support for six years, MFA students for three. You may transfer graduate credits from another university into our PhD, MA, and MFA programs. Our standard policy is to accept no more than four courses as transfer credits. The credits you wish to transfer must have been taken after you completed your baccalaureate.
