Advisory Council

The Advisory Council is the Immigration History Research Center and the Immigration History Research Center Archives' consultative group made up of faculty, students, staff, and community members. The Advisory Council assists us to fulfill our mission to: promote interdisciplinary research on international migration, develop archives documenting immigrant and refugee life, especially in the US; and make specialized scholarship accessible to students, teachers, and the public.

Members provide advice on our activities and serve as advocates to various units, organizations, and communities at the University of Minnesota and beyond. The council also facilitates collaboration on research and academic and outreach projects related to international migration, race, and ethnicity in the US and the world.
