With a high level of expertise in research methodology and research computing, the College of Liberal Arts Technologies and Innovation Services (LATIS) assists with nearly every step of the research process. Through providing support from the initial grant proposals to dissemination and long-term preservation, LATIS specializes in human-subjects protocols, instrument design, experiment programming, participant recruitment strategies, technologically-assisted data collection, data management, and data analysis for quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research. Research support from LATIS is available to faculty, students, and staff in the College of Liberal Arts and across the University.

Support is available with language for grant and IRB applications, specifically:

  • Budget planning for hardware, services, and other computational resources
  • Technical description of shared storage and computational resources
  • Data management, data sharing, or data analysis plans 
  • Strategies for protecting the confidentiality of research participants
