Mesik Recipient of NIH NIDCD Grant

Dr. Juraj Mesik, research associate in the Auditory Perception and Cognition (APC) Lab, received an NIH National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Diseases (NIDCD) grant totaling $581,250. The project, Physiological Markers of Listening Effort and Their Dependence on Age, will run from 09/15/2022 to 07/31/2025. The study will examine the effects of age on different measures of listening effort and the relationship between listening effort and cortical processing of speech. This research will help to understand the cognitive processes within language processing.
