Psychology Celebrates Capstone Students

On Tuesday, December 10 the Elliott Hall lobby was packed with 134 seniors in Psychology showcasing their 'capstone' projects.  Modeled as a professional poster session, seniors presented their research and experiences, discussing their work with peers, faculty, advisers, and staff.

As part of the degree requirements, Psychology BA and BS students must sign up for one of three capstone experiences:  working as an undergraduate research assistant in a laboratory, engaging in a community organization such as a health clinic or food shelter, or designing a project of their own.  The Psychology Senior Capstone video covers the Capstone experience.

Caprice Niccoli, PhD, director of the psychology capstone experience courses (PSY 390x), organizes the event for our seniors at the end of each semester.

Thanks, Caprice! And congratulations to this semester's participants in the Capstone Poster Session.
