1. Psych Club Meeting: Psychological Thrillers

Tune in next week for a psychological thriller! The movie being shown is TBA. The meeting time depends on how long the movie will be, so it will probably be later than 6:30. Expect popcorn. See you next week!
2. Apply to Psi Chi, the International Honor in Psychology!
Psi Chi is the International National Honor Society in Psychology. It's a great way to improve your resume and become eligible for new opportunities within the field of psychology. 5. NAMI MN State Conference: Mental Health Advocacy in Action

Learn more about mental health and advocacy at the annual conference! NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of adults and children with mental illnesses and their families. This year's conference will be held at the Saint Paul RiverCentre and will feature 18 breakout sessions for people living with a mental illness, their families, young adults, educators, social workers, providers, law enforcement and anyone interested in mental health advocacy. The Minnesota Institute of Neuroeconomics and Decision Science (MINDS) is pleased to host their third research dinner on Wednesday, November 1st at 5:30pm in Elliott Hall N219. This academic and career development event aims to continue to bridge gaps across a number of disciplines here at the University of Minnesota involved in decision-making and neuroeconomics research. This event will feature talks (with discussion afterwards) from Joe Kable, a special guest presenter from the University of Pennsylvania, and a personality, individual differences and behavior genetics graduate student. This event will also feature a free dinner catered by Wally's during which attendees may meet graduate student researchers and faculty across a number of departments.

9. Interested in Careers in Education? Consider School Psychology at UMN
We’re looking for smart, innovative psychology majors to join the University of Minnesota's school psychology Ph.D. program, and we’re partial to Gophers. One of the strongest, most established programs in the nation, we offer rigorous, cutting edge training just a few blocks down from Elliott Hall in the Education Sciences Building. Our young faculty are leaders in research, and so are our students. In fact, 85-100% of school psychology students at the U of M present and publish their research each year. We’re accredited/approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) and NASP. And best of all, 100% of our school psychology Ph.D. students have been fully funded and found jobs in the field since 2012.
10. UW-River Falls Information Sessions for Counseling & School Psychology
The Department of Counseling & School Psychology at UW-River Falls offers two unique graduate programs that lead to careers as school counselors or school psychologists. 12. Behavior Therapist Jobs at Holland Center for Upcoming or Recent Grads
Holland Center is hiring Behavior Therapists to join our established, Twin Cities based program, working one on one with children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Behavior Therapists are trained on 7-10 clients and work with anywhere from three clients to all of them each day. Holland Center’s clients range from 2 to 16 years old and represent the entire autism spectrum.
