What was your undergraduate major and what institution did you attend?
I got my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota with a minor in English Literature
Tell us about your research at the University.
I study psychometrics (psychological measurement) and quantitative methods in psychology. Broadly speaking, my research focuses on evaluating and developing new tools for analyzing psychological data.
What do you enjoy most about the Twin Cities?
For me, the Twin Cities is small enough to feel friendly and large enough to be exciting. There are a whole variety of fantastic museums, theaters, concert venues, and restaurants, and also one of the best park systems in the country.
What would have been helpful for you prior to applying?
I think it's always useful to spend time talking with current graduate students to learn more about what to expect from a particular program.
