Anyanso Presents at Ladder Event

On May 8th, several U of MN departments hosted a virtual event in partnership with The Ladder program to help youth learn about mental health and provide them with some stress coping skills. Vanessa Anyanso, a counseling graduate student in the Department of Psychology, was one of the lead presenters. She shared information on emotional regulation and mindfulness.

The Ladder is a club for children and young adults in North Minneapolis who are interested in health careers. The program provides a structured environment of service learning, leadership development, and cascading mentorship. Members range from fourth-grade students to practicing physicians and researchers.

Participating U of MN departments are the Department of Psychology, the Institute of Child Development (ICD), the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain (MIDB), the Department of Neuroscience, and the Medical School.
