In Memoriam of Celia Wolk Gershenson

On August 30th, Dr. Celia Wolk Gershenson passed away. Gershenson completed her PhD in psychology at the University of Minnesota in 1980. She went on to become an involved member of the Department of Psychology and the Center for Cognitive Sciences for many years, feeding her passion to mentor young students and encouraging them to pursue academic excellence.

Gershenson was also an active leader in the Minneapolis Jewish community, including being a founding member of the Congregation Mayim Rabim where a service of remembrance was held for her on September 5th.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Jewish Community Action, Mayim Rabim Congregation, or World Central Kitchen.
