In Memoriam David Campbell

We are sad to report that on January 18th, 2021 Dr. David Campbell passed away.

Campbell received his BS and MS degrees from Iowa State University, and his PhD in psychology from the University of Minnesota (1960). This same year, Campbell joined the UMN faculty and just eight years later he rose to a full professor position, a first for the University. While at the University of Minnesota, Campbell helped to co-author the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory, a widely used vocational counseling tool. Campbell made many influential contributions to the field of vocational psychology and in 2012 he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).
