In The Minnesota Daily article “Graduating students react to the stress of last year at UMN,” Liza Meredith, is cited on the topic of “senioritis.” According to Meredith, seniors experience a variety of emotions as their college experiences come to an end. While there is often excitement about graduating, there is often sadness about ending this period of life and anxiety about what comes next. Meredith notes that motivation to do well in school is derived from anxiety and when this anxiety is focused on other concepts like the future, schooling can become a second priority.
