Niccoli Awarded CLA’s Universal Design Grant

Congratulations to Caprice Niccoli for receiving CLA’s Inclusive, Accessible, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Grant. This $3,000 grant awards undergraduate instructors for updating their course design and course content with the goal of promoting student mental health, well-being, and principles of equity, inclusion, and valued belonging. 

Niccoli is updating her online course “Introduction to Health Psychology” to expand coverage of health disparities and to explore more inclusive research on romantic relationships. In addition, all aspects of course delivery will be reviewed for improvements in accessibility. 

Caprice Niccoli is a contact assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota and has taught online health psychology classes for several years.
