Congratulations to Heather J. Peters for receiving the University of Minnesota’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Award. This award is given to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to advancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in the person’s field of study through impactful research, training, or service.

Peters has proven to be a dedicated advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion at UMN Morris. Her efforts have significantly contributed to the development of students' multicultural knowledge fostering an environment where everyone is included, respected, and valued. Through her research, Peters has partnered with community partners to create culturally sensitive interventions, programs, and services that provide support to individuals facing marginalization. 

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Heather J. Peters for her remarkable contributions to the field of psychology and her tireless dedication to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion. Her exemplary work serves as an inspiration to all and embodies the principles of justice and equality.
