Psychology Professors’ Latest Listens

Ever wondered what professors in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota listen to? A recent article by the Minnesota Daily titled, “Professors’ Playlist: Here’s what 12 University of Minnesota professors are jamming to lately,'' highlights the latest song obsessions of professors across the university. Liza Meredith, PhD, contract assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota, shared that she’s been listening to “FaceTime with my Mom (Tonight)” by Bo Burnham. This track from Burnham’s comedy special, “Inside,” is a go-to when she needs a good laugh. For her, it reminds her of how unique the pandemic period was and what it all meant to us. As for Mark Stellmack, PhD, contract assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota, he’s been enjoying “El Stupido '' by Skirr, A Twin Cities-based band. The song is a message of resilience and the enduring strength of the human spirit.
