Rothman Receives Funding for Research Support

Dr. Alexander J. Rothman received funding from NIH as part of a collaborative project with investigators at the Miriam Hospital for the study, “Adapting Episodic Future Thinking for Behavioral Weight Loss: Comparing strategies and characterizing treatment response.”

The grant runs from 9/21/21 through 8/31/26. This project experimentally tests the effects of two distinct self-regulation strategies within a behavioral weight loss program on initial and maintained weight loss and explores both the cognitive processes that may underlie and the individual difference factors that may moderate the effectiveness of these strategies.

Alexander J. Rothman, PhD, Distinguished University Teaching Professor, in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota.
