Shepherd Receives Prestigious Award From the National Student Exchange
Congratulations to Kiah Shepherd for receiving the Dr. Richard R Bond Community Engagement Award from the National Student Exchange. This award recognizes students who demonstrate the best use of their participation in a study away exchange. Criteria are academic accomplishments, social welfare service, contribution to the community or campus, and creative use of time during the exchange.
Shepherd was given the opportunity to experience life in a different part of the country at Florida A&M University, a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). There she gained exposure to new perspectives “which taught her the power of words and the importance of connecting with others.”
