Xiong Awarded K99 Grant to Study Dual Sensory Loss

Yingzi Xiong, a researcher in the University of Minnesota’s Psychology Department, was recently awarded a K99 career development grant from the National Eye Institute to conduct research on individuals with dual sensory loss. The study is titled “Dual Sensory Loss: Impact of Vision and Hearing Impairment on Spatial Localization.” In this study, Xiong will focus on the joint impact of vision and hearing loss on the ability to determine the location of objects in the environment. The study will be conducted from 08/1/2020 to 07/31/2022.
