Student Writing Support (SWS)
Student Writing Support (SWS) in the Center for Writing offers individualized writing instruction with an SWS consultant via in-person appointments, walk-in consultations, appointments in Zoom, or chat appointments in SWS-chat. SWS consultants have a variety of specialties and academic backgrounds, including working with multilingual learners. SWS is available to any registered UMN-TC student. Take advantage of this free service for WRIT course assignments or any other coursework—even resumes and scholarship applications.
Tutoring and Academic Success Centers (TASC)
TASC offers walk-in tutoring for over 130 undergraduate courses; support and use of media production software, equipment, and facilities; films available for checkout; help writing research papers; group learning sessions for select courses; and exam preparation resources. You can get help at any stage of the research process from the University Libraries Peer Research Consultants.
Student English Language Support (SELS)
SELS can help you at any stage of the writing process, from organizing your ideas to improving grammar. All SELS consultants specialize in teaching English to speakers of other languages, and they can also help you with other English skills, such as speaking and reading. Schedule an appointment or check walk-in times and locations.
