Writing Support

You can arrange individualized writing instruction with a consultant from Student Writing Support at the Center for Writing, either face-to-face or online. Take advantage of this service for WRIT course assignments or any other coursework—even resumes and scholarship applications.

The TASC (Tutoring and Academic Success Centers), formerly SMART Learning Commons, offers walk-in tutoring for over 130 undergraduate courses; support and use of media production software, equipment, and facilities; films available for checkout; help writing research papers; group learning sessions for select courses; and exam preparation resources.

Support for International Students

Student English Language Support (SELS) can help you at any stage of the writing process, from organizing your ideas to improving grammar. All SELS consultants specialize in teaching English to speakers of other languages, and they can also help you with other English skills, such as speaking and reading. Schedule a face-to-face appointment in 20 Nicholson Hall or check walk-in times and locations.
