The Language Center supports instructors, students and the broader community by providing welcoming spaces and inclusive technology for everyone. Check out our spaces below to learn more.

All spaces can be reserved using our Make a Reservation form.

Classrooms

Classrooms (Jones 10, 15, 30, and 35) can be reserved by instructors for their language classes. Classrooms are equipped with Mac computers at each student station with Mac DiLL audio lab software, web browsers and Microsoft Office installed. An instructor’s desk or podium has a Mac computer with Mac DiLL Lab Controller software, controls for the classroom projection system, a DVD player, and document camera.

Small Rooms

Small rooms (Jones 105A, 105B, and 135B) can be reserved by instructors and students for conferencing, individual exams, tutoring sessions, meeting spaces, and more. They accommodate between one and seven people, and some spaces are also used as small classrooms.

Speakeasy Lounge & Event Space

The Speakeasy Lounge & Event Space (Jones 135) is a versatile, comfortable, and collaborative space for all university community members. Whether you need a quiet spot to focus, a place for group discussions, or a venue for hosting events, the Speakeasy is designed to meet your diverse needs. This multi-purpose space can seamlessly accommodate all your academic, professional, and social activities.
