Checkout Equipment & Media

The Language Center offers 13 Apple MacBook laptops and 2 Dell PC laptops for checkout and reservation. Included with the laptop is a charging cord, a USB to USB-C adapter, and a carrying case. Instructors may reserve equipment through the Patron Portal. Instructors may take equipment out of Jones Hall, but undergraduate students may not.

Also among our many offerings are a number of small and large Marantz recording devices. If you need a device to record a class project, elicit data, or engage in testing, we have the devices for you! Instructors and students may reserve equipment through the Patron Portal. Instructors may take equipment out of Jones Hall, but undergraduate students may not.

Included among our offerings are ten poster boards for use in classes or other events where patrons might want to display information in a group or public setting. The boards are reversible trifold boards with whiteboards for the backside, perfect for writing and/or displaying information. Please check the appropriate box on the Room Reservation Request Form to request the use of these boards.

The Language Center offers a collection of over 3,000 foreign language feature films and documentaries, along with instructional audio/video, and authentic printed materials. Many films have been digitized for instructional purposes and are available for online streaming through LC Elevator. Restrictions apply.

Hosted in the SpeakEasy Lounge & Event Space (Jones 135) is a large moveable whiteboard on wheels, perfect for lectures and other events with need for writing on a large space.
