The School of Music in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track faculty position in Contemporary Instrumental Performance with a preferred specialization in double bass (acoustic and/or electric) or keyboards (acoustic and/or electric) at the rank of assistant professor. This is a 100%-time position over the nine-month academic year (late August to late May) beginning with the fall semester of 2024. We seek a collaborative and creative colleague to help us build the future of music studies in higher education. Artists with a proven potential to recruit undergraduate and graduate students interested in the nexus between the traditional ensembles found within Schools of Music and contemporary music and improvisation are particularly encouraged to apply, as the School of Music has strong programs and ensembles, which include classical music, jazz, and world music.

Ted Mann Concert Hall is seeking outgoing, detailed, hospitable individuals to join our Front of House staff of Ushers, Greeters and Concessionaires.

The right candidates will have experience with customer service in the arts, be able to stay calm in fast-paced situations, be comfortable with the lulls, and love to solve problems in an effective and professional manner. Previous front of house theater experience is a big plus, however, we are willing to train the right individual.
