NPR quotes Christopher Federico, PhD, professor of political science and psychology at the University of Minnesota, on how common information-processing biases can impact how individual jurors assess the same evidence differently. Jurors in the Kyle Rittenhouse case were divided over whether Rittenhouse was acting in self-defense or recklessly when he shot and killed two men and injured another but a verdict clearing Rittenhouse of all charges was entered Friday morning, November 18.
