Federico on the Rise of Racism and Disturbing Shift in Societal Norms

In a recent StarTribune article titled “A heinous, racist shooting in Florida,” Chris Federico was quoted on how racist rhetoric becoming more mainstream. Federico pointed out that in the past few years, there has been a noticeable weakening of norms that once acted as a barrier against racist extremism. This shift is fostering an environment where hateful attitudes and behavior, particularly toward racial minorities, are more prevalent.
