Sackett Receives Lifetime Achievement Award in HR Excellence

Paul Sackett

We are excited to announce that Paul Sackett has been named the 2023 recipient of the Micheal R. Losey Excellence in Human Resource Research Award. This is a $50,000 award for lifetime contributions awarded by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The award will be presented in June at the Society’s annual conference in Chicago.

SHRM is the leading professional organization in the Human Resource Management field, with over 325,000 members worldwide. Given the Society’s focus on Human Resource practice, the award is given to an individual with a broad and deep track record of contributions to the HR discipline through research as well as interactions with the practitioner community through speaking and consulting engagements. Sackett’s research on pre-employment testing and employee selection is widely spread and used in the field.

Sackett has also previously received lifetime achievement awards from the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the Academy of Management, and the Personnel Testing Council.

Congratulations, on this lifelong commitment to the Industrial-Organizational Psychology field.

Paul Sackett, PhD, Beverly and Richard Fink Distinguished Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota.
