Study Abroad

As an SLHS major, you are encouraged to consider studying abroad to enrich your education. Find general learning abroad information—including programs available, advising, financial aid and scholarships, policies and procedures, and application materials—at the Learning Abroad Center. For information specifically on learning abroad for speech-language-hearing sciences majors and minors, see the major advising page.

It is recommended that you study abroad within the first two years of your undergraduate career. This is due to the sequencing of coursework in the major and the limited number of equivalent courses that can be taken abroad. Early planning and systematic consultation with advisors in the Learning Abroad Center and the department is key to assuring you find the right program for you, meet application or scholarship deadlines, and apply appropriate courses taken abroad to your major/minor and/or liberal education requirements.
