"Prisons and Health in the Age of Mass Incarceration" by Professor Chris Uggen

Chris Uggen

UMN Sociology Professor Chris Uggen and co-authors Professors Jason Schnittker (University of Pennsylvania) & Michael Massoglia (University of Wisconsin-Madison) have published their new book with Oxford University Press, "Prisons and Health in the Age of Mass Incarceration."

The first comprehensive and empirical book focused on the connection between incarceration and health, Prisons and Health in the Age of Mass Incarceration explores how incarceration undermines the health of people currently and formerly in prison as well as their families, communities, and larger health care systems.

Congratulations, Professor Uggen!
