CLA Student Services staff and advisors are here to help you navigate your educational path. The CLA Student Services office staff are here to help you answer questions about where to go for what service in the college or at the University. You can ask us questions before or after you are admitted to the college, as an orientation student, and as a continuing CLA student. Not sure who to talk to or what form to fill out? We're a good place to start! Email us at class@umn.edu or call us at 612-625-2020 (make sure to leave a message; we're answering your voicemail during regular University hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

CLA Advisors are available to help you plan your academic career after you have been admitted and completed orientation. Advising is an important part of your academic journey. You are the driver, and your CLA advisor is your navigator.

Advisors are here to help you connect to resources on campus, learn through academic and non-academic opportunities, and achieve your goals, from orientation to graduation. Want to declare your major/minor? Contact your departmental advisor. Your departmental advisor is your specialist in your major and/or minor programs.
