DiLL
About DiLL
The Digital Language Lab (DiLL) is a digital language lab software for Mac computers. All of the Language Center classrooms have Mac computers with the DiLL software installed. Originally developed at Northwestern University, DiLL is now developed and supported by Swift Education Systems. Without all of the additional hardware of traditional language labs, it provides an intuitive interface that allows instructors to easily perform a number of actions:
-
Pair or group students for conversations.
-
Talk to the class.
-
Play recorded prompts for students to respond to.
-
Save student recordings automatically to a remote server.
-
Use recordings for in-class activities or for later evaluation by instructors.
