My name is Bobby Bryant, and I’m the Coordinator of Undergraduate Advising for the Department of Sociology. Previously, I worked for the College of Liberal Arts for over 7 years as a college-level degree advisor in CLA Social Sciences and the Health and Natural Sciences student community.

I have two undergraduate degrees from the University of Minnesota: a bachelor of arts (BA) with a major in history and a bachelor of interdisciplinary studies (BIS) with concentrations in global studies, European area studies, and anthropology. My master of education (MEd) is in adult education with course work in human resource development, faculty directed research, and a graduate program abroad to Ireland. I co-authored an article published in National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) Journal, and I have twice co-presented at NACADA conferences.

As an advisor, I enjoy helping students find the right courses, the right majors and minors, and helping students take advantage of all the University has to offer from Career Services to the Learning Abroad Center.
