Houlahan Received the Career Readiness Advocate Award 2021-22

Congratulations to Mike Houlahan for receiving the 2021-22 CLA Career Readiness Advocate Award.

Mike is the associate director of undergraduate studies. In this role, he has strengthened collaboration with CLA Career Services, worked to engage more alumni, presented on career readiness in psychology classes, provided guidance in creating the Psychology Department Internship class (PSY 3896), and collaborates with department faculty to update the Capstone content focused on career readiness. Additionally, Mike serves as a psychology advisor, centering his work holistically to meet the needs of undergraduate students. Through these different ventures, Mike has deepened CLA students’ capacity to reflect on their academic growth and articulate the value of their undergraduate experience in a liberal arts education.

This award is given to a CLA staff member in recognition of their demonstrated leadership in the Career Readiness initiative and comes with $1,200 in professional development funds.
