Declare a Spanish & Portuguese Major/Minor
Due to heavy demand, several classes within the department are reserved for majors and minors only. Please plan ahead! It can take up to two weeks for your college office to process your declaration and recognize you as a major or minor. We recommend declaring at least two weeks before registration.
How to Declare
To declare a Spanish studies or Spanish/Portuguese studies major, you need to follow the steps below:
- Schedule a 30-minute major declaration appointment with the Span/Port advising office.
- Complete the Major Orientation Module prior to your appointment
- Develop a list of questions you would like addressed at your declaration meeting.
- Bring your questions to your major declaration appointment.
Attend an appointment with a Spanish and Portuguese Studies advisor.
Students need to attend a Zoom Spanish Studies minor declaration session. Please email [email protected] if you are not able to find a session that works with your schedule.
