Drop-In Hours

We encourage CLA students to take advantage of our drop-in hours to meet with a trained Peer Coach and receive help on a variety of career preparedness topics. Please view the calendar below for our drop-in hours and click the event for details. 

Can’t make it to Drop-in Hours?

Use our E-Doc service to get customized resume and/or cover letter feedback within 1-3 business days. 

Drop-in Coaching Topics:

  • Questions about CLA Career Services and career resources we offer
  • Resume/cover letter review
  • Job and internship search help using Handshake
  • Practice with Career Fair and networking introductions (your "elevator pitch")
  • And more! Drop-ins are a great place to start for any career question to get initial guidance and referrals!

Drop-in Coaching is available for currently enrolled students in CLA, and alumni for up to one year after graduation. For additional career resources for CLA Alumni, please visit our For Alumni page.

How to Access Drop-In Coaching

No appointment is needed! Drop-ins are typically 10–15 minutes long.

In-person Drop-ins: Come to 411 Bruininks Hall during our Drop-in Hours and our Peer Coaches will assist you. 

Virtual Drop-ins (via Zoom): 

  1. Confirm Virtual Drop-in Hours are available based on the calendar below.
  2. Fill out this brief intake form and you will be connected to a CLA Career Services staff member who will assist you.
