Graduate Minor in Anthropology

It is possible for students in other graduate programs to earn a graduate minor in anthropology. The minor program is individually designed by each student in consultation with a faculty advisor from anthropology.

At the master’s level, students must complete a minimum of 6 credits of graduate-level coursework in anthropology.

Please contact the anthropology graduate program
coordinator at for more information.

At the PhD level, students must complete a minimum of 12 graduate-level credits in anthropology and at least one of those classes must be at the 8000-level.

For both levels, students must have a member of the anthropology faculty serve on their examination committee. Courses used toward the minor on the graduate degree plan must be approved by the Director of Graduate Studies of the anthropology program.
