Beyond Discover Music Day
Looking for a general tour of campus and Ferguson Hall? We encourage all potential students in their junior and senior year of high school to experience what we have to offer and what life in the Twin Cities as a music student is like. Students will be able to engage with their potential faculty mentor and have an immersive experience in ensembles and classes.
For a general tour of campus, schedule a campus visit with the Office of Admissions. If you would like a specialized experience at the School of Music, such as a tour of Ferguson Hall or a meeting with a music advisor, please reach out to [email protected].
Additional opportunities for prospective students
The University of Minnesota High School Honor Band Weekend is held on the Twin Cities campus in late January. Musicians in grades 10, 11, and 12 will get the opportunity to work with music faculty and perform on the Ted Mann Concert Hall stage.
The Twin Cities Saxophone Camp is an intensive program of chamber music, master classes, and lessons for students in grades 6 - 12. All styles are welcome as the course will focus on intermediate and advanced fundamentals of saxophone performance.
