Utilize CLA Career Services staff and resources to help you navigate your career exploration and post-graduation planning process.

Theatre Arts majors develop great skills that are applicable to a wide variety of careers. These skills include performance and presentation skills, leadership skills, and critical thinking skills, among others.

Experience

Learn more about the arts career field, sign up for the monthly arts career newsletter, or meet with a coach in CLA Career Services to discuss career planning.

Theatre arts majors go on to successful careers in the arts, business, education, government, performance, publishing, and much more.

In addition, what you do outside of the classroom can improve your confidence, enhance your skills, and build your resume. Therefore, we encourage you to seek out real-world experience through research opportunities, community engagement, and internships to help you feel confident in your decision upon graduation. Students may also also gain valuable and relevant skills in theatre arts and dance by studying abroad or joining a student organization.
