The healthcare industry offers a vast range of career possibilities. People often associate healthcare with a few widely-known professions; however, there are opportunities in healthcare that focus on art, the environment, business, data and informatics, and more! Over the next several years, healthcare occupations will grow faster than any other field, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Healthcare is a popular interest area for CLA students and is one of the top industries that our graduates pursue. Many occupations in healthcare require advanced degrees, so early exploration is key to finding your fit.
Science careers span multiple disciplines, including space sciences, earth sciences, life sciences, chemistry, and physics. Science professionals can be found in most sectors and industries, including government, healthcare, and education. Opportunities and advancement potential will vary based on your level of education, so it is important to think about whether an advanced degree will be necessary to achieve your career goals. There is not one major or minor that will prepare you for this field as there are many pathways, the lists below are not all-inclusive.
