PSEO (Post-Secondary Enrollment Options)
High school students who are admitted to the University of Minnesota PSEO progam (Post Secondary Enrollment Options) are eligible to participate in music ensembles and coursework that is available to all undergraduate students on campus, including ensemble participation and coursework open to non-music majors.
Music PSEO Students who wish to enroll in applied music lessons with a faculty member during their junior or senior year of high school must apply to and audition for the School of Music as well as the U of M PSEO program. PSEO students enrolled in applied lessons (private lessons with a faculty member) must concurrently enroll in a major University ensemble. In addition to applied lessons, admitted PSEO Music students will also have priority access to music major-level coursework in theory, ear-training, keyboarding, and music history. Please note: the School of Music application deadline and audition dates prioritize undergraduate degree-seeking students. Late applications for PSEO student will be considered on a space-available basis.
