Graduate Minor in Economics
Our graduate minor is worthwhile for students who want an understanding of economics to go along with their graduate degree. It pairs well with many majors: political science, business, and management, among others.
A master's minor consists of six credits in 4xxx, 5xxx, or 8xxx economics courses, all taken A-F and completed with grades of B or better (one 8xxx course may carry a grade of C). The six credits must include two courses in either the 4161–4164 sequence or the 4165–4168 sequence, or more advanced courses in economic theory.
The economic theory requirement may be waived if, in the judgment of the director of graduate studies, the student's previous work in economics has included courses equivalent to 4xxx economic theory courses, though the requirement to complete six credits would still stand.
