German Tutors

The Department of German, Nordic, Slavic & Dutch maintains informal lists of people who are interested in tutoring. Current or former students or instructors in our department are marked “(dept.).”

The department does not certify tutors and assumes no responsibility for the quality of instruction. The agreement reached between you and any tutor is a personal one and should in no way be construed as reflecting departmental policies. For more information, contact the individual directly.

Korbuly-Johnson, Lili  [email protected] Minor in German from U of MN; worked in Germany; certified to teach with Berlitz in German but chose my own methods instead; have used German in my work life and for my YouTube channel. I work in-person (at a library) with teens who have their own materials (books/workbooks, etc) and with adults (in-person) who have their own materials and are University students or are planning to work abroad or travel abroad and need to enhance their language knowledge.  Sessions are 45 minutes to an hour.  I charge $75/session. I’ve taught ten year olds, 12 year olds, teens and an eighty four year old. I work best with people who are past the beginner stage and trying to get to intermediate, but will work with other levels. Contact me for a sample conversation!
