All styles are welcome as the course will focus on intermediate and advanced fundamentals of saxophone performance. There will be concerts every evening from faculty and internationally renowned guest artists. The final concert will feature student chamber groups and selected student solo performances. This year the final day of the camp will be the first day of the Eugene Rousseau Celebration. This 3 day event is free to campers and includes vendors, concerts, classes and presentations from many internationally renowned saxophonists including Preston Duncan, Kendra Wheeler, Stephen Page, Kenneth Tse, Julia Nolan and many more! Campers will not be supervised during this event as it is not part of the camp. June 14 of the Rousseau Celebration will also include the Schmitt Music Sax Day.

This course is designed for all level students in 6th grade and above. There will be quite a few college-level students and adults as well. There will be breakout sessions for different levels and age-appropriate chamber groups. Come one, come all, it’s time to get better at the saxophone! There will be a pianist for the performance masterclasses, so please bring your scores.
