Anderson Scholarship

The Department of History seeks applications for the Roger C. Anderson Study Abroad Scholarship, due the 1st Monday of December. The scholarship award is $1000. 

Requirements for consideration for the Anderson Scholarship include the submission of an unofficial transcript as well as a personal statement consisting of no more than 500 words describing where they plan to study abroad in the spring, what historical components they intend to study there, and why the opportunity is important to their educational and professional goals. If the student has specific financial hardships they are incurring by study abroad, please reference them as well.

Eligibility students for this scholarship are:

  1. Full-time
  2. Undergraduate students
  3. Majoring in History
  4. Demonstrate both financial need and academic merit
  5. Are participating in a Study Abroad experience
