Percussion Auditions
All percussionists who would like to participate in University Wind Ensemble, University Symphony Orchestra, University Philharmonic Orchestra, University Band, or Symphonic Band need to audition. For Campus Bands and Campus Orchestras, simply register and attend the first class meeting to take the class. Please contact us by email at this address with any questions or concerns.
Fall 2024 Audition Information
Fall 2024 percussion auditions will take place in-person during the first week of class, September 3-6. See below for details:

Fill out an Ensemble Audition Interest Form to be notified when audition materials and audition sign-up form are available. Course registration will occur upon completion of a successful audition.
Auditioned ensembles begin fall rehearsals the week of September 9, 2024.
Students auditioning for percussion should prepare one of two audition packets. Consult with your applied studio teacher or current ensemble director to determine the appropriate materials to prepare.
University Wind Ensemble / University Symphony Orchestra (available by early June)
- All students interested in University Symphony Orchestra (USO) or University Wind Ensemble (UWE) are required to prepare all USO/UWE excerpts.
Symphonic Band / University Band (available by early June)
- Students interested in Symphonic Band (SB) or University Band (UB) should prepare the SB/UB excerpts only. Students preparing these materials are not eligible for placement in UWE or USO.
