All strings who wish to be considered for placement in the following ensembles need to audition:
For Maroon and Gold Campus Orchestras, simply register and attend the first class meeting to take the class. Contact us by email at this address with any questions or concerns.

Spring 2027 ensemble auditions will be held in-person in early December in Ferguson Hall.

Audition Registration

Fall 2026 Ensemble auditions have concluded. Spring audition materials will be available in October.

Auditions may include a sight reading component.

Permissions to enroll in auditioned ensembles will only be granted after completion of a successful audition and ensemble placement.

University Symphony Orchestra (USO)
University Philharmonic Orchestra (UPO)
Students preparing these materials will not be eligible for placement in University Symphony Orchestra. UPO does not qualify as ensemble credit towards a music degree.
