String Auditions
All strings who wish to be considered for placement in the following ensembles need to audition:
For Maroon and Gold Campus Orchestras, simply register and attend the first class meeting to take the class. Contact us by email at this address with any questions or concerns.
Audition Information
Fall 2026 ensemble auditions will be held in-person the first week of September in Ferguson Hall.

Audition Registration and Details

Permissions to enroll in auditioned ensembles will only be granted after completion of a successful audition and ensemble placement.
University Symphony Orchestra (USO)
All strings auditioning for University Symphony Orchestra must prepare the following materials for their instrument:
University Philharmonic Orchestra (UPO)
All strings auditioning for University Philharmonic Orchestra must prepare the following materials for their instrument. Students preparing these materials will not be eligible for placement in University Symphony Orchestra. UPO does not qualify as ensemble credit towards a music degree.
