Internships

 Receive credit for your internship:

Many employers and admissions committees want to see how your coursework pairs with your work and internship experiences. The College of Liberal Arts and the Department of Sociology offer resources to help you find internship opportunities.

Financial Support for Unpaid Internships

The Barbara Newsome Internship Award offers a unique opportunity for sociology majors to earn $2,000 for otherwise unpaid internship experiences. The sociology department also encourages you to check out college-wide scholarships for unpaid internships.

Sociology Resources

Opportunities for volunteer positions and internships relating to sociology can be found on our Undergraduate Resources site, as well as in our newsletter, the Soc Scene.
