PhD in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences

The PhD program is designed to provide you with a strong foundation in research across the fields of speech-language-hearing sciences, speech-language pathology, and audiology, and it will prepare you to become an independent scholar in the area of your choice. The curriculum of the doctoral program allows you maximum flexibility to select coursework within the discipline and across other disciplines, such as psychology, child development, special education, early childhood, and cognitive sciences.

If you are interested in applying to our doctoral programs, visit our application page for more information. Keep in mind that successful PhD applicants typically have established a relationship with a potential mentor before applying to the program. See our faculty specialties to learn more about research opportunities. And see our PhD Student handbook for more information.
