Undergraduate Minor in Economics
The Department of Economics offers two minor options: the Economics minor and the Econometrics minor.
The Economics minor is useful for students interested in developing a foundation in Economic theory to complement their business, engineering, computer science, or social science majors.
Both minors require the following courses to declare:
- ECON 1101 - Principles of Microeconomics
- ECON 1102 - Principles of Macroeconomics
- MATH 1271 - Calculus I
In order to take upper-level Economics courses, students first need to declare their minor. Interested students can make an appointment at econ.appointments.umn.edu.
